UK Representation

Q) How do you gain sporting recognition?

1 - Come Together

2- Memorandums of understanding in place between Dance Sport GB (currently Dance Sport England), with Breakin GB and UK Breakin', so we all know our roles and so that all from the grassroots level to Olympic level can access more opportunities and gain the funding needed to succeed.

3 - Do the jobs set out by the Sports Councils, IOC, and bodies such as NSPCC to ensure the money will benefit all and every level.

Q) What do you need to do?

1 - Sign up as a member of UK Breakin' www.ukbreakin.org

2 - Join weekly meetings on a Sunday with UK Breakin'

3 - Join in the judging and event management training this weekend

4 - Become a hub and get a DBS check, use Woosh CMS at your upcoming event to collect data

5 - Stand up for yourselves and everyone else, so that all can benefit

We have a role to play beyond social media, we need to all understand the role we play in getting Breakin' recognised in the UK.

We held a ‘Youth Agenda’ meeting hosted by Marcus Johnson which brought up interesting information on what the next generation need to be in place to make breakin’ a fair and open activity which can lead to careers for the next generation. Sundays are for members. We get together to build and plan. T he members worked together to write the vision and mission statement and to decide on what is needed on the website and what actions UK Breakin’ needed to take to make breakin’ available for all. The website is coming to you in three stages. First stage was a sign up page, where UK breakers could become members. Stage two you can find out a little more about UK Breakin’ what we aim to achieve and how you can become more involved.
